IMPORTANT – A valid criminal record check and respect in sport is MANDATORY for ALL coaches. Coaches are also required to register for the season as an official in the Rosthern RAMP online registration system. https://www.rampregistrations.com/login?v3=bc62946bff

Respect in Sport is a required training program for all registered Coaches and Team Personnel of Provincial Sport Governing Bodies in Saskatchewan. This training is available at no cost, online at

COACHING CLINICS – Clinics are split into 2 portions. There is an online portion that MUST be completed PRIOR to attending the in-person portion.  Fees are covered by VSA for these clinics however the town association will be charged for any registrants who do not attend. ****IN PERSON portions have been cancelled but coaches are encouraged to still do the online portion****

Active Start (U5-U7)
The focus is on teaching basic skills and basic physical literacy. Duration: 4 hours.
 

FUNdamentals (U7-U9 Female/U6-U9 Male)
Learn how to develop the ABCs of movement: Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed, while running a practice session that is fun, safe and keeps children actively engaged. Duration: 8 hours.

Soccer For Life (12 yrs + Female/13 yrs + Male)
The emphasis of this course is on technical and tactical development within the 11-a-side game environment. You’ll learn how to plan and deliver effective, enjoyable, age-appropriate practices and how to provide feedback to your players. Duration: 16 hours.

Upon completing a coaching clinic, you are deemed “in training” and need to complete the “Making Ethical Decisions” course prior to becoming “Certified”: https://saskcoach.ca/nccp-training/upcoming-courses/
